RMI Tyre Tosser

Kiwi engineering, built for the silage season

If you’ve ever spent hours throwing heavy, waterlogged tyres up a silage stack, you’ll know it’s a job that demands time, muscle and plenty of patience. Proudly designed and made in NZ, the RMI Tyre Tosser takes the misery out of sealing silage pits. With the flick of a lever, its hydraulically driven chain launches up to 35 car tyres onto the stack in one load. Built for our farming conditions, it reduces manual handling and the number of people needed on the job, making silage season that little bit easier.

If there’s one job in the agricultural calendar that guarantees a sore back, a face full of stagnant water and a test of your most colourful vocabulary, it’s throwing tyres onto a silage stack. It can make for a miserable few hours.

Enter the Tyre Tosser. Built tough like the RMI implements you know and love, this clever attachment takes the manual misery out of sealing pits, fitting straight onto your tractor or telehandler with standard Euro Hitch brackets.

Built for tough NZ farm conditions, the Tyre Tosser features a hot-dip galvanised frame to handle the corrosive silage environment. At 7 metres long, it carries up to 35 car tyres, powered by a notched chain and robust Parker TG0335 hydraulic motor. No complicated electronics, just practical engineering built to work.

Load up to 35 tyres onto the chain, position your tractor or telehandler beside the stack, and let the Tyre Tosser do the heavy lifting. Its hydraulically driven chain launches tyres onto the stack at the flick of a lever, leaving the person on top to simply focus on positioning tyres into a tight, interlocking pattern for an effective seal.

Less manual labour, fewer people needed and less risk of damaging the cover. Now that’s a smarter way to seal a silage pit.
